About this objectdull glazed jug with no colouring but with relief of river scene, the jug is made from fawn coloured pottery, the lower 'bowl' relief depicts mermaids in bullrushes either talking or blowing horns, the upper relief scene shows cherubs and dolphins around the feet of two maidens on a river bank, immediately below the spout is a heron-like bird in bullrushes, the handle is in the form of a bird in rushes at the top with the head of a man at the base
