The Sketcher’s Arms returns for 2020: a session for all-abilities sketching and experiments with drawing that is held in the inspiring surroundings of the Williamson.

Bring your sketchbooks and materials for an evening with our sketching group. Inspiration comes from exhibits and objects from the collection, and the session leaders may have brought up some special pieces from the archives. Whether you’re a sketching master or an absolute beginner, this evening is suitable for all abilities. Session leader Pamela Sullivan can offer guidance on techniques and skills to help facilitate your own sketching practice.

The Sketcher’s Arms is returning on the third Thursday of every month. The next session will be Thursday 19th March 6:30-8:30pm and cost £5. Materials are not provided, please bring your own. However if you need to stock up why not visit Artfix (open during standard gallery opening hours only)?

The Cafe will be open from 6pm for drinks and refreshments.

Please note that these Thursday evenings are extremely busy at the Williamson, with concurrent events and meetings taking place. This may mean that spaces in our car park are limited. Please be considerate of our neighbours when parking – why not see if you can carpool or use public transport?
