On Saturday the 27th of October from 11am until 4pm at the Williamson, families are invited to join in with a free creative workshop to make artefacts remembering the soldiers of World War One – part of the Wilfred Owen Commemoration. Please bring your own family stories or copies of photos* to add your personal history to our collective project. To get the benefit of this slightly more structured workshop, please arrive on the hour so that Julie can instruct you in the process. The poppy workshop will be slightly more suited to our young visitors.
The resulting installation, The Fallen Oak Leaf Project, in association with Prenton High School for Girls will be on show in the Williamson from the 3rd of November until the 22nd of December 2018.
Julie has worked with the gallery on various different community projects and exhibitions since she graduated from Wirral Met and shares a studio with local artists in nearby Alternator studios, just down from the framers, Roma Galleries opposite our new Lidl store on Balls Road.

*We have been advised that photocopies/prints of family photographs which can be transferred onto the wooden leaves have to be printed from a laser printer (not an ink jet printer) to work. Julie will provide some images that have been printed on a laser printer so not essential to provide your own images.
