Free creative sessions for young people aged 9-14.
Join artist Rachael Howard to learn the immediate and fun skill of paper cut stencil screen printing.
Inspired by the skills of the Belgian refugees who found a welcome in Birkenhead over 100 years ago, you will create simple patterned designs inspired by Belgian bobbin lacework handkerchiefs. You’ll mix dyes, cut out paper to make stencils and screen print your designs on to fabric. At the end you will take home your own version of a printed lace inspired hanky.
Laced Together is taking place over a course of two half-day workshops, and you must attend both sessions. The options for booking are:
2 morning sessions, Thursday 18th & Friday 19th August 10:45 – 12:45. Book here
