Looking for a new hobby for a new year? Or are you after an idea for a creative gift idea?
This course is suitable for complete beginners, as well as those wanting to brush up on skills long forgotten. You will cover the understanding of basic colour theory and colour mixing, composition and the selection and positioning of subject matter for painting
Sessions are tutor led, with a short 20-30 minute tutorial and demonstration of newly introduced techniques or medium at the beginning of each class. Students are encouraged to ask questions and try out new techniques and media during each session.
Each session will be set up with primary or secondary source reference materials based on the requirements of the group.
The course will run on Thursdays, 10am-12pm, from Thursday 23rd January 2020. The course will run for 10 weeks, with a week’s half-term.
All adult courses are £55. This works out to be a bargain at £2.75 per hour! Payable in full in advance. To reserve a place and for information on future sessions, contact Pamela directly via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The classes are held in our specially equipped art room for most of our sessions. We have specially designed tables which can be raised or lowered for wheelchair users.
Initially materials and equipment will be provided, but you will be expected to buy your own as the course progresses. Pamela will suggest a materials list and give advice on best products to buy.
