Curious Minds
Curious Minds and Wirral Museums Service are working together to celebrate the creative opportunities that schools in Wirral are offering their young people. We want to ensure schools feel confident that their cultural offer is up to date, and that they are aware of the opportunities available to them.
Every child should have the opportunity to create, compose, and perform, as well as to visit, experience, participate in and review extraordinary work.
Artsmark can help unlock the potential of children and young people, help to develop character and talent, and increase their knowledge. Awarded by Arts Council England, designed by schools, the new Artsmark award helps schools across the country to deliver a high quality arts and cultural education. Artsmark is rewarding more and more schools for championing arts and culture.
Artsmark is open to primary, secondary and special schools, pupil referral units, youth offending teams and sixth form colleges.
Schools don’t need to dedicate a minimum percentage of curriculum time, or fulfill strict criteria. Rather than retrospectively celebrating what you have done, the new process is forward looking to where you school wants to be linked to your School Improvement Plan. Artsmark currently has 4 levels: Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
