The portraits will go on show at the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum in May, to coincide with the ‘Secret Gardens of Oxton’ event. There will also be a booklet to accompany the exhibition with the portraits accompanied by quotes and stories from the people involved. This time capsule, the images and words of local people, is intended as a unique and intimate snapshot of Oxton in 2018.
James is giving a short talk on his exhibition at 1pm at the Gallery the 13th of May as part of the Secret Gardens of Oxton.
Please remember that the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum is free to visit and is open from 10am until 5pm Wednesday to Sunday. Gallery Eleven, where this exhibition will be housed is frequently used by groups for meetings and may be in-accessible at certain times during the week. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturday mid-mornings are such times. Please seek advice from desk staff as to whether it is possible to view, if you have any doubt.
