Parents don’t have to remain with their children but are encouraged, if they have younger children to use The Williamson Cafe with excellent provision for children with high chairs and a play area for young ones as well as the garden space – The Green Gallery. We are hoping to have some related colouring in sheets to keep them amused.
We are delighted this year that the workshops have also been extended to include our sister site – The Birkenhead Priory. It is possible to book for a block of three afternoons from the 29th to 31st of August from 1pm until 3.15pm. Booking details are as above. To find out more about access, facilities and parking, please ring the Priory mobile 07796366120 or check out the website
The programme this year also includes outreach to the Pyramids Shopping Centre, St Peter’s Church and Beaconsfield Community House in Rock Ferry, The Woodlands Field in Birkenhead and Bidston Rise Community Centre. Pick up the flyer in the gallery or download for more information about the other venues
The artwork created in the sessions may be chosen to be selected in an exhibition at the Williamson in September.
Made possible through funding and tremendous support from the Wirral Museums Service, Williamson and Priory Friends, Wirral Methodist Housing, Hemby Charitable Trust, Magenta Living, Foyle Foundation, Birkenhead Improvement District (BID), Neo Community, Stronger Communities Initiative Assembly and our very hardworking co-ordinator Cathy Warren and her team of artists.
