Storytelling sessions – More info for parents and carers:
Sessions will involve exploring traditional and well loved stories and picture books that connect with the gallery exhibitions.
This will mostly be through oral tellings of these stories and a little drama/imaginative play, but we may also sometimes looks at picture books together.
The drama activities and games will help children get involved in the playful exploration of the stories and we may progress to creating new stories… who knows!
The emphasis of the session is to have fun while enjoying stories and all they have to offer. Storytelling and drama both have wonderful possibilities for capturing children’s imaginations and delight, and can be a great way to connect with the exhibitions in a new way.
There’ll be opportunities for parents to join in too (but no pressure).
The sessions are aimed at 3-5 year olds primarily although younger siblings are welcome and can join in in their own way.
We hope to see you soon!
